What if my drill is not available in the list?

We develop adapters for the most popular drills as we receive requests.

We invite you to contact us so we can help you find a solution.

Some customers have sent us their drill so we could develop a specific adapter for their model, and we returned their drill with the adapter.

You can contact us at allo@sa-et-sa.com or on our Facebook group for more information.

What are the white/black/red bushings for the drill bit used for?

The Perfect-O allows you to use most drill bits for tapping with bushings that fit onto the bit. Bushings help stabilize the bit inside the Perfect-O.

These bushings come in different colors depending on the size of the bit. Here they are:

  • 15/64: black
  • 1/4: white
  • 17/64: red
  • 19/64: no bushing needed
  • 5/16: no bushing needed

Due to the rare use of 17/64 bits, red bushings are only supplied with these bits.

New 15/64 and 1/4 bushings are included with each Perfect-O. And each pack of 5 bits (15/64, 1/4, or 17/64) includes 5 bushings.

How to adjust the angle?

Here are the steps to adjust the angle:

  1. Press the rod brake and push the rod so it comes out of the Perfect-O.
  2. Rest the two bottom points of the Perfect-O on the tree.
  3. Rest the top point on the tree.
  4. Press the brake while tilting the Perfect-O to adjust the angle.

See this video for more details starting from step 2:

How to use the level?

The level shows the angle of the drill bit and that of the Perfect-O.

Usually, the perfect level for tapping is achieved when the bubble goes past the black line towards the front of the Perfect-O. It is not recommended to have the entire bubble beyond the black line.

How to adjust the depth of the tap?

When the bit is installed as far as possible in the drill, the tap produced will be about 1 1/2 inches deep on average.

To adjust the depth of the tap, simply move the bit in the drill chuck. The further the bit sticks out of the chuck, the deeper the tap will be.
